evoke psychotherapy is a Kalamazoo practice offering individual and couples therapy for young adults through elders, along with clinical supervision for limited licensed counselors.
The practice was founded on a simple idea: therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship rather than a procedure. Sessions move at your pace. Nothing gets forced, and nothing on your mind is off the table.
Our clinicians work relationally and are trauma-informed. Each therapist brings their own training and interests, so we match you to the person whose way of working fits what you are carrying.
evoke psychotherapy also supports the next generation of Michigan clinicians through board-approved supervision, and is growing deliberately so that caseloads stay small enough for the work to stay attentive.
How we work
Sessions move at your pace, adapted to what you actually need rather than to a fixed protocol. You do not have to arrive with it organized.
Who belongs here
Clients of every background, body, faith, and orientation are welcome. The practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, and works with young adults through elders, couples, and people carrying the weight of caregiving professions.

Lori Guidone founded evoke psychotherapy in downtown Kalamazoo and leads the practice as Clinical Director, seeing clients and supervising the clinicians who join.
